BYC Youth Program

Bozeman Youth Cycling provides a high-quality and fun youth mountain bike program, open to all abilities – the Youth Program is for kids going into grades 1st through 5th in fall of 2023 (please see the Bozeman NICA Team page for older kids!). We hope to inspire life long love of and involvement in the sport.

We offer need based scholarships. Please take advantage of our generous sponsors and apply for a scholarship, if needed. Complete the scholarship application here. Please complete this private application by March 24th, 2023.

We do have some requirements for registration. The participant must be within the group’s GRADE by Fall of 2023 (and participants must be 6 years old by June 1st, 2023). Everyone must wear a properly fitted HELMET at all times, additional protective equipment (like gloves!) is not required, but encouraged (please let us know if you’re in need of help purchasing a helmet).  SHOES must be closed-toe, we know it’s hot but we like our toes safe! PEDALS should be flat, no “clipping in”. WATER needs to be carried by each participant, either in a bottle cage or a hydration pack.

Our program is a progressive skills-based mountain bike club. The more your child is here, the better (!) as we build upon skills we’ve learned each week. The BYC Youth Program is NOT a race development team, we focus on building strong foundational bike handling skills, trail etiquette and team camaraderie – but don’t worry, the kids will do plenty of biking!

Registration for 2023 open on Sunday, March 26th @ 7pm. See our REGISTRATION PAGE
